Our school is excellent because we have got nice teachers, children and toys.

I like it at home time on a Wednesday as I have my drum lesson. I love it because Finlay comes with me. I just like playing the drums.
I like going home on Friday as it's going to be the weekends. I like going to people's houses.

I like this school because snacktime is fun and you get fruit when you are hungry. I like to play wordshark on the smartboard. You choose a shark and a picture comes up and you spell it.

Mrs Newell
On Monday 8th September Mrs Jean Newell celebrated her 100th birthday. Mrs Newell who still lives in the house she was born in is a retired teacher from Cromarty Primary. She looks great for the age of 100.
Many people reach 100 but it is still a great achievement for someone to live through so much change. She was born in 1908 so has lived through both world wars. Mrs Newell never actually was in an air raid but still she would have been scared for friends and family who had gone to fight.
In 1926 the television was developed so Mrs Newell would have been very excited. Can you imagine your life with out TV? The first moon landing was in 1969 and she would have probably watched it with her friends and family on TV. In 1928 penicillin was discovered and Mrs Newell would have been excited to find out about the new source for curing illnesses.
1938 had many inventions, some of which we take for granted today. These included nylon can you imagine our world with out nylon? The first working computer was developed and the biro pen was invented. In 1938 the first helicopter flight took place which would have been very important to the whole world let alone 1 person in a small village at the top of Scotland.
Mrs Newell has lived through much more than what is written in this report and has led a life full of history which will be remembered for many years to come.
The Stolen Ruby
There was once a little girl who had a ruby....
She loved it so much she cuddled it at her bed-time. But one night she heard a crash and when she woke up it was gone!She looked everywhere but she could not find it so she called the police immediately but they were too busy so she had looked in all the houses she was so worried. She rembembered she heard a crash so she went to the palace and found the robber with her ruby. He told the queen the truth. She was very disappointed in him. The Queen threw him into jail and she got her ruby back and lived happily
