 The following information explains what P. 1/2 will be covering up to the February long weekend 

Maths:-

 P.1  -  Mental maths every day, addition to 6, problem solving, measure - length and weight. 

P.2 – mental maths every day - Place value to 100, number sequences within 100, number patterns within 100, problem solving, measure - length and weight.

 Language; P.1 - Revise initial sounds, revise reading and writing cvc words, Initial blends, forming letters -  capitals, Imaginative/Personal writing -  teacher provides what and children provide who and why. Functional writing - report and instructions.

Reading -  Highland Literacy Project

P.2  - Digraphs and vowel digraphs eg qu, ar, ll, magic e

Handwriting - baseline joins eg - li, it, il,  Reading -  Highland Literacy Project

Imaginative/Personal writing - children writing ending of a story

Functional writing - report and instructions

Health:- Physical health -showing an awareness of keeping healthy through eating and drinking, exercise, sleep, keeping clean and brushing teeth. Pollution
